GTA 6: Full list of characters revealed so far

The Grand Theft Auto series has long been known for featuring some of the most memorable characters in gaming. From the Grove Street gangster Carl Johnson to the unhinged oddball named Trevor, GTA has offered quite an assortment of charismatic leads. What’s more is that some of the franchise’s supporting characters, such as GTA 4’s Roman Bellic and GTA 5’s Lamar Davis, are also fondly remembered by fans even after several years.

With GTA 6 now on the horizon, many are curious to know more about the characters appearing in this hotly anticipated title. Besides our Bonnie-and-Clyde duo of Lucia and Jason, some other intriguing personalities have also been revealed to be part of the new GTA, scheduled to hit the shelves on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Keep reading to learn who they are and what motivations they have in the game’s story.

Officially confirmed GTA 6 characters lineup

1. Lucia Caminos

Lucia is one of the two protagonists in the game and the first female protagonist in the series since the original GTA in 1997. She endured a rough time growing up and learned to survive in hostile conditions from her father.

Things took a turn later and she ended up in a cell, behind the bars, in the Leonida Penitentiary. But, she is finally out of prison and won’t leave any stone unturned to realize the elusive “good life” that her mom dreamed of when they were still living in Liberty City.

As apparent from the trailers, she is likely in a relationship with Jason, the game’s male protagonist. Despite that, she is described as a highly independent individual who isn’t afraid to take care of things on her own.

Right after the game’s first trailer came out in December 2023, the rumor about actress Manni L. Perez portraying Lucia surfaced online and spread like wildfire. Over time, across the two trailers released so far, some fans have grown even more convinced about this speculation being true.

2. Jason Duval

Jason Duval is the other half of the dual protagonists in GTA 6. Since an early age, he has been in the company of criminals and found it especially tough to navigate life during his teens. All that led to his younger version getting enlisted in the army for a period of time—tells me why he has the typical muscular build.

In GTA 6, Duval has already started working for drug smugglers, especially one particular aging veteran who is also his landlord. The second trailer showed him robbing a general store, whereas certain other glimpses also hinted at possible involvement with the FIB (GTA’s version of the FBI). The latter assumption is something that has previously led the internet to believe he may be an undercover government agent.

3. Cal Hampton

Described as someone that can leverage technology to spy on the authorities from afar—possibly as some sort of a hacker—Cal Hampton seems like he would be a significant aide to the player during missions in a role similar to Lester’s in GTA 5. Besides being Jason’s friend, Hampton apparently also has links to Brian Heder, the male protagonist’s employer.

Nearly every GTA protagonist of note has had at least one close friend throughout his journey. Tommy Vercetti had Ken Rosenberg, Carl Johnson had Ryder and Big Smoke, and Niko Bellic had Little Jacob. Since not all those friendships culminated into a lifelong bond, it will be interesting to see how Jason and Cal’s friendly relations take shape during the course of GTA 6. Their trailer scenes together have already become popular enough to inspire several GTA 6 Wallpapers online.

4. Boobie Ike

Boobie Ike is a Vice City local and is dubbed a “legend” of his city, owing to his rags-to-riches rise in life. After hustling in the streets for some time, he climbed the ladder of success all the way to the top and currently owns an empire that stretches from real estate to a strip club to a recording studio—all operating in a legitimate manner.

However, that’s not to say Ike’s illegitimate businesses are non-existent, as his most lucrative income still appears to be “drug money.” Being a business-minded person, his next goal is to take his alliance with Only Raw Records’s young and influential musician, Dre’Quan Priest, to new heights by landing a hit.

5. DreQuan Priest

Boobie Ike’s is not the only story of a meteoric rise in GTA 6’s world, as Dre’Quan Priest is yet another character who went from being a street hustler to a Vice City big shot. The official site underscores the importance of Priest signing Real Dimez for the Only Raw Records label. It also hints at the musician’s ambitions going far beyond his ongoing partnership with Boobie Ike.

6. Bae-Luxe & Roxy aka Real Dimez

Real Dimez is a rap music duo featuring Bae-Luxe and Roxy. They are described as prominent social media figures who are adept at creating viral online content. Having had their first breakthrough five years ago, thanks to a hit song with the Vice City-based rapper DWNPLY, the Real Dimez are looking for similar success at Only Raw Records.

7. Raul Bautista

Raul Bautista is a veteran of his craft, which just happens to be bank heists. Besides oozing confidence and cleverness, he also gives out a reckless vibe—resulting in each successive heist becoming a bigger risk for the entire crew. Additionally, he is also consistently on the lookout for commendable talent that could help him get his next big score.

8. Brian Heder

Not only is Brian Heder Jason’s landlord, but he is also a drug lord who started his trade in the Leonida Keys region during the “golden age of smuggling”. He has been thrice married and currently runs his illegal business out of his boat, alongside his wife, Lori. Heder also doubles up as Jason’s boss, providing him with local errands that may or may not be against the law.

Other unconfirmed characters in the game

Apart from the aforementioned characters, there are several others that have either been mentioned on the official site or have appeared in the trailer. From the lot that has only been spoken of on the website, the characters are Lori Heder, Brian’s third wife, and DWNPLY, the musician who gave Real Dimez their breakout song.

Among those who were only shown in the trailers are characters like Stefanie, Rudi, and Phil. While Stefanie appears as a potential Leonida Penitentiary employee in the first trailer, where she is seen talking to Lucia, Rudi is only mentioned in an in-game social media post in the same video. In the second trailer, Phil is shown as the owner of an Ammu-Nation in a TV ad. His name and character design is evidently inspired by Phil Cassidy, an NPC from the GTA 3D universe. In particular, I think GTA 6’s Phil looks quite similar to GTA Vice City’s and Vice City Stories’ Phil Cassidy.

Besides them, a flurry of characters, seemingly inspired by real-life people who went viral on the internet, are set to feature in the upcoming game. Among them are what look like parodies of viral personalities like the Miami Joker and the dual hammer-wielding California vandal.

After Rockstar Games parent Take-Two Interactive’s latest earnings call on May 21, it is more or less confirmed that GTA 6 will indeed release later this year. With the company’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, revealing that the marketing campaign leading up to launch will kick off during Summer 2026 (around late June), a third trailer for the game looks likely to drop within the next two or three months. Hopefully, this much-awaited trailer will not only reveal new characters but also share more details about those introduced thus far.
