Meta has launched its first self-branded smart glasses lineup, featuring AI-powered tools, live translation, 3K video recording, and prices starting at $299.
Meta has unveiled its first smart glasses sold under its own brand rather than Ray-Ban or Oakley, adding three new models to its wearable lineup while continuing to partner with EssilorLuxottica.
The new lineup includes the Adventurer and Fury, both priced at $299, while the Starfire costs $399 and was created in collaboration with Kylie Jenner. Although Meta is selling the glasses under its own brand, manufacturing is still being handled by EssilorLuxottica, the parent company of Ray-Ban and Oakley.
The Adventurer features a rectangular frame available in standard and large sizes, while the Fury uses a similar design with a thicker frame. The Starfire has a slimmer oval shape and includes a gemstone near the camera, a metal nose pad, and the option to use an AI-generated version of Jennerβs voice for assistant prompts. Its charging case also includes a built-in mirror and a handwritten note from Jenner.
Across the lineup, Meta has added adjustable nose pads, adjustable temple tips, and overextension hinges designed for wider head shapes.
The company is offering 26 color and lens combinations across the Adventurer and Fury models, including polarized, transition, and clear lenses. Prescription lenses are also supported, with a power range from -12 to +2.25.
All three models feature a 12-megapixel camera, 3K video recording, a five-microphone array, and up to eight hours of battery life. The included charging case adds roughly 40 hours of additional use.
The glasses ship with Metaβs Muse Spark AI model, which adds 14 new languages to live translation support, including Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, and Arabic, bringing the total to 20 languages.
The company has also introduced a Dynamic Photo feature that captures multiple images and automatically selects the best shot. Meta says pedestrian turn-by-turn navigation will arrive in a future update for its camera-equipped smart glasses.
According to Bloomberg, Meta is also considering a camera-free version focused on phone calls, media playback, and AI interactions. During the launch, Meta described Apple as a βformidableβ competitor ahead of its expected smart glasses debut.
Current rumors suggest Appleβs first smart glasses could arrive in 2027 with cameras, microphones, Siri integration, and AI-powered features, but without a built-in display.
Metaβs new Adventurer, Fury, and Starfire smart glasses are available starting today through Meta and participating EssilorLuxottica retail partners, including LensCrafters.
