The redesign is still rolling out

Since then, the chat list, Updates tab, sidebar, reactions, context menus, voice message player, and chat interface have all moved to the new look. The iPad app followed in June, and Meta has been readying Liquid Glass for the Mac app since before its July rollout.

The rollout has been slow enough that some iPhone users still do not have the redesign. These two screens are also not finished, so the visual transition is not complete yet.

WABetaInfo connects the work to iOS 27’s expected launch, but WhatsApp and Meta have not announced a deadline. Apple is not planning a major Liquid Glass redesign in iOS 27, but that does not confirm when WhatsApp will finish these screens.
