Apple's Intelligent Assistant can write in Pages, build slides in Keynote, and help with formulas in Numbers. It is in beta for Creator Studio subscribers in US English.
Apple is bringing a new AI assistant to Pages, Keynote, and Numbers that can help you write documents, create presentations, and analyze spreadsheets using natural language. Called Intelligent Assistant, the feature understands the content you’re working on and can make changes directly within each app.
The new assistant is rolling out in beta for Apple Creator Studio subscribers, according to Apple’s latest App Store release notes for Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.
In Pages, you can ask the assistant to draft entire sections, rewrite existing text, adjust the tone, or reorganize your document. It can also generate images and shapes based on text instructions. Since the assistant understands the document’s contents, you can ask it to make changes using the context of what you’ve already written.
Keynote gets similar capabilities focused on presentations. The assistant can generate slides, create presenter notes, add images and shapes, and help refine existing slides. You can also ask it to add animations or improve a presentation without having to manually work through each element.

Numbers brings AI assistance to spreadsheets, including the ability to create complex formulas, generate tables, suggest charts, and find insights in existing data. For example, you can describe what you want to calculate in plain English and have the assistant help build the formula.
Across all three apps, Intelligent Assistant can search for up-to-date information and incorporate it into your document, presentation, or spreadsheet. It can also explain advanced features and guide users through unfamiliar tasks.
The update builds on AI features Apple has already introduced through Creator Studio, including image generation, automatic slide creation in Keynote, and Magic Fill in Numbers. Intelligent Assistant brings these capabilities into a more conversational interface that understands the project you’re editing.
There are some restrictions. Intelligent Assistant is currently available only in US English and requires an Apple Intelligence-compatible device running iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 or later. Apple’s Mac App Store listings have yet to receive the corresponding update.
The features also require an Apple Creator Studio subscription, which costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year in the US. Pages, Keynote, and Numbers remain free for regular document creation and editing.
Separately, Keynote is introducing a new open Interchange Format (.keyx) in beta. Available to all users, the format allows presentations to be imported and exported in a way that Apple says will make their contents easier to work with in other applications.
