Apple's October plans may include a smart home launch on October 13 and a second batch in the final week. Apple has not confirmed the rumored lineups.
Apple may have two hardware announcement windows this month. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Apple plans to unveil a new home hub, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K on October 13. MacRumors now says multiple sources point to another product batch in the final week of October. Apple has not announced an October event or confirmed either rumored lineup.
If those reports hold, October could bring a home-focused reveal followed by a possible Mac launch. The reported schedule looks like this; only one late-October item is confirmed.
| Window | What is reported | Status |
|---|---|---|
| October 13 | A home hub, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K | Reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman; not confirmed by Apple |
| Final week of October | A second product batch, likely Macs | MacRumors cites multiple sources, but the lineup is unknown |
| Late October | Mac Studio with 512GB of unified memory | Apple has confirmed availability for this configuration |
The October 13 date comes from Gurman’s reporting on a smart home hub, a new HomePod mini, and an updated Apple TV 4K. His report points to a home-focused launch and a possible event, but Apple has not announced it. The rumored screen-equipped home hub would give Apple a new way to put Home controls and Siri in a shared room.
Earlier reporting had already pointed to a broader home refresh. MacRumors says the updated HomePod mini and Apple TV could retain their current designs while adding faster chips for Siri AI, and the speaker may come in new colors. Those details are unconfirmed, and Apple has not given prices or availability for either product. The hub would be the most visible change because it would add a display to Apple’s home lineup.
MacRumors says it has heard from multiple sources that Apple plans another launch in the final week of October. The report does not name the products. Its most likely candidates are an OLED MacBook Ultra with a thinner design, a base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip, and an iMac with an M6 chip. Each is still a rumor, including the MacBook Ultra name.
One late-October Mac detail is already confirmed. Apple says its Mac Studio with M5 Ultra and 512GB of unified memory is coming in late October, after introducing the new desktop in September. That gives Mac buyers a confirmed availability window, but it does not confirm that Apple plans a second event. Apple’s 2026 product lineup also includes an OLED iPad mini as a possibility this year, though MacRumors says its timing is unclear and does not place it in either reported wave.

The reported product waves would come around the iPhone Duo’s October 23 launch. But the exact schedule, event format, and lineup remain unsettled. For now, treat October 13 and the final-week window as reporting, not dates to plan a purchase around.
