Calm Capy is the latest capybara-inspired sidekick to arrive in Fortnite. Here's how to get it, how much it costs, and a look at the other cosmetics available in the Hype Circuit promotion.
Fortnite sidekicks have been growing in number and also in terms of variety over time. The recently added Hype Circuit promotion further introduced a capybara-inspired sidekick called Calm Capy.
This particular sidekick is a customizable Fortnite item and is priced at 1,200 V-Bucks. Calm Capy, as well as the other cosmetics in its promo, are currently up for grabs in Fortnite until August 25 at 5 PM PT or 8 PM ET. You can check out the guide below to learn how to claim this item for yourself.
Apart from adding Calm Capy into the mix, the Hype Circuit section also brought back two previously introduced sidekicks, namely Remus and Kit. Both of them were originally rolled out for the first time in Fortnite in January 2026. On top of these sidekicks, the Hype Circuit promo features a range of skins and other cosmetics.

Although sidekicks do not serve a purpose beyond your own immersion, their consistent presence in the Item Shop suggests players may still be going for them for their own personal preference. The wide catalog that Fortnite devs have created thus far is also a testament to their dedication toward diversifying this aspect of the game.
As a consequence, today Fortnite not only boasts an impressive range of original sidekicks but also flaunts the ones derived from some of the most popular franchises in pop culture. From DC’s Krypto to SpongeBob SquarePants, the IP depth in the sidekicks category is not to be taken for granted. However, since this Fortnite feature itself is less than a year old, the room for introducing many more recognizable characters as sidekicks is quite large.
