Fortnite teases Spider-Man Brand New Day collab

Spider-Man is swinging into Fortnite soon, as confirmed by a new teaser posted via the game’s official social media handle. The latest collaboration with Marvel’s webhead is set to come on the heels of Spider-Man Brand New Day, scheduled to release on July 31, 2026.

Fortnite is a melting pot of trending collabs, so obviously it’s not surprising that the highly popular online title is doing another one ahead of a major pop culture event, which in this case is the launch of the fourth MCU Spider-Man film. Thanks to the recent tease, Spider-Man and Fortnite fans alike are noticeably excited for potential themed content dropping in the game, following weeks of constant rumors.

Fortnite shares glimpse of Spider-Man Brand New Day collab

On July 21, Fortnite officially acknowledged its forthcoming collab with Spider-Man Brand New Day, with a 20-second teaser video posted on X. It showed buildings in the Fortnite map covered with webs as well as a Brand New Day-inspired mural, as the iconic Spider-Man theme music played in the background. Notably, the mural has been available in the game since at least a week before this post.

In the comments, Fortnite players have responded positively and shared their own wishlist of in-game items they want added as part of the collab. These range from a cell-shaded version of the Spider-Man outfit to Spider-Man’s Web Shooters, which originally appeared in Fortnite in December 2021 during Chapter 3 Season 1.

Fortnite x Spider-Man Brand New Day collab expected content

To some fans’ relief, Spider-Man Mythic items, including Spider-Man’s Web Shooters, have been reported to be part of the new update by popular leaker HYPEX. Besides that, previous leaks have also talked about a Spider-Man Sprite being added to Fortnite, which would fall in line with how Batman also got a sprite version when the ongoing Hot Bat Summer promotion launched.

Moreover, a new Spider-Man outfit inspired by the superhero’s look in Spider-Man Brand New Day is among the most expected additions. There is also a Punisher Set, consisting of the titular anti-hero’s skin and other gear, rumored to be added to the game. Other skins that have surfaced online include ones based on Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Zendaya’s MJ.

Final thoughts

Marvel has long been a key collaborator of Fortnite, even getting two entire seasons (Chapter 2 Season 4 aka “The Nexus War” and Chapter 5 Season 4 aka “Absolute Doom”) dedicated to its superheroes and supervillains. So, it’s natural that fans are thrilled to see another partnership between the two media behemoths.

The rumored new skins and returning Mythic items are undoubtedly exhilarating. However, I’m more interested in seeing how Spider-Man carves its own niche among other sprites, if the rumors of the arachnid-like hero getting its own sprite turn out to be true. Anyway, that looks like something we will hopefully learn more about very soon.
