Explore every known GTA 6 weapon revealed through official trailers and screenshots, including firearms, melee weapons, and what to expect at launch.
Itβs been two-and-a-half years since GTA 6 got its announcement trailer. And, in that period, longtime fans and enthusiasts have thoroughly studied all its videos and screenshots out in the wild, extracting from them all different sorts of information. As a result, we currently have a rough idea about the weapons you’ll be able to see in the game come November 19.
The following list compiles all the glimpses of the weapons shown in official GTA 6 images and trailers, giving you a good idea of all that could be available at your disposal for wreaking havoc in Vice City and the state of Leonida. It also mentions where exactly these weapons can be spotted in the official GTA 6 media.
In GTA 6’s first trailer, at the 0:58 mark, a woman can be seen with dual-wielded hammers. If this is something that the player does as well, it will be the first time a GTA game has provided the option to dual-wield melee weapons.
The second image of the Port Gellhorn section on Rockstar’s website shows a man in the back resting a baseball bat on his shoulder. On the other hand, the man at the front can be seen grabbing the handle of what looks like a shovel. The latter weapon last featured in the series in 2004’s GTA San Andreas.
On Rockstar’s website, in the Cal Hampton section, the first image depicts Cal holding a golf club. This seems like a natural addition to GTA 6’s arsenal given its main location, Vice City, was home to a prominent fictional golf course, known as the Leaf Links, in the city’s original rendition from 2002’s GTA Vice City.
In the second image of the Cal Hampton section, there is a pool cue each with Jason and Cal. While this may primarily be used to play the pool minigame, you can expect the game to let the player wield it as a weapon, similar to how things worked in past GTA titles such as GTA San Andreas.
Personalized versions of these revolvers appear in the Ultimate Edition screenshots on the official website. Apparently, these specific versions will be exclusively available for buyers of the pricier edition of GTA 6.
In the third picture of the Ambrosia section, a woman can be seen brandishing a revolver with Mustang .357 engraved on it. Judging by the characters shown wielding this weapon, it seems fair to assume this may be frequently carried by a particular biker gang in the game.
The personalized versions of these two pistols are also among the weapons shown in the Ultimate Edition screenshots for GTA 6. Similar to the aforementioned personalized revolvers, these are also exclusively available for buyers of the pricier edition.
In the official GTA 6 cover art, Lucia is depicted holding a pistol with the text “Nipper .38” on it. A clearer version of this weapon can be found in the Media section, under “Artwork”, on Rockstar’s website. Additionally, this handgun also appears at the very end of the Only In Leonida section, under “Explore all”, where Lucia can be seen holstering it as Jason closes the car trunk.
In the second image of the Raul Bautista section, you can see Raul Bautista in the driver’s seat holding a pistol with the Capo branding.
In GTA 6 Trailer 2, at 1:15, we see a blink-and-you’ll-miss glimpse of Lucia and Jason equipped with an MP5-inspired submachine gun each.
Among the Vice City Vintage Pack items is an M10-inspired SMG, emblazoned with the iconic colors associated with GTA Vice City protagonist Tommy Vercetti. This weapon skin is a pre-order bonus and only available to those who buy the game before November 20, 2026.
Moving on, the third image in the Grassrivers section on the official website depicts a man on a boat brandishing a double-barreled shotgun in the middle of an alligator-infested lake.
In Trailer 2, at 2:10, there is a small segment about Phil’s Ammu-Nation, which offers a look at several different guns, including those inspired by the Uzi SMG, Remington 870 shotgun, Benelli M4 shotgun, AK47 rifle, and M249 light machine gun, the last of which is even shown being fired in the successive shot.
Among the batch of screenshots released in 2025, alongside Trailer 2, there was one that shows Jason aiming with a Duke-branded carbine rifle.
In the first Grassrivers section image, a seated man can be seen with a Duke-branded assault sniper rifle, whereas another man standing right next to him has a different sniper rifle that looks like the game’s version of an M14 or an M1A.
Moreover, Mount Kalaga National Park section’s third picture depicts a couple of hunters walking towards a game they apparently shot down, with sniper rifles that look very similar to the Remington 700.
At the 1:58 mark, in GTA 6 Trailer 2, a female character, probably Lucia, blows up police vehicles using a grenade launcher. This is the only projectile weapon we have seen so far in the official clips and images. However, keeping in mind the franchise’s long association with rocket launchers, this may not be the only such weapon in the forthcoming game.
It’s important to note that the aforementioned list also contains those weapons that have only been shown as being used by GTA 6’s NPCs. Hence, there is no guarantee that the same will be available for Jason and Lucia to equip and use as well. If you’d like to learn more about the game’s cast, check out our list of GTA 6 characters.
On top of that, there are instances where things get changed in the time between the launch of a game’s trailer and its release date. This can easily result in items that were present in the promotional material not making it into the final version of the game. So, that is another thing to consider for those keen on GTA 6 and its lineup of weapons. While waiting for the game’s release, it’s also a great time to revisit some of the best GTA-like games to play and see how the genre has evolved over the years.
