How to get the Kernel Hearts Fernet skin in Fortnite

Kernel Hearts, a forthcoming anime-inspired action-RPG, is scheduled to launch on September 17, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Switch 2. Ahead of its release, Epic Games Store announced a collab with the game that brings its protagonist Fernet to Fortnite as an in-game skin.

On August 17, the Epic Games Store x Kernel Hearts collab was first announced to mark the occasion of pre-orders opening for the indie title. What separates getting the game via Epic’s storefront from others is that this particular option, which costs $19.99 (₹719), also comes with the Fernet Fortnite skin as a freebie. This bundled item offer is redeemable at any point (not just the pre-order phase).

Steps to claim the Kernel Hearts Fernet skin in Fortnite

1. Go to the Epic Games Store, enter “Kernel Hearts” in the search bar at the top of the screen, and select the game when it appears in search suggestions.
