The Vini Jr Sprite is one of Fortnite's newest Mythic sprites, offering a powerful slidekick ability. Here's where to find it, along with alternative ways to add it to your collection.
Fortnite has recently released a lot of in-game content to attract soccer fans. From the Striker Sprite to skins based on soccer stars such as Lionel Messi and David Beckham, there has been no shortage of variety. Now, the online game has turned another soccer sensation into a sprite by releasing the Vini Jr Sprite.
Standing out from the other sprites in Fortnite, the Vini Jr Sprite offers a distinct ability to inflict damage by sliding once you have sprinted for a short time. Moreover, slidekicking your enemies with this sprite equipped also boosts the rate of fire and reload speed.
This Mythic-tier sprite is available in just one variant and can only be obtained from chests, especially Sprite Chests. The following chest locations are particularly known to offer the Vini Jr Sprite.
Near the southern coast of Golden Grove, there is a platform with blue rails surrounded by a few rocks. There is a chest there that opens, which can give you the Vini Jr Sprite.
In front of the big lake in Calamari Canyon, there is a lighthouse/tower. Enter it and go all the way to the top-most floor. There, you will find a chest that has a fair chance of spawning the Vini Jr Sprite.
Towards the south of Heatwave Harbor, there is an island to the left of the soccer pitch. Go to the southernmost edge of that island and head to the top of the cliff there. Upon reaching the peak, you will encounter a Sprite Chest from which players have collected the Vini Jr Sprite.
In Frosted Flats, near the western edge of the snowy area, there is an expansive blue building. Once you enter that, go past the closed door and descend into the basement, at the end of which you will find a vault. Inside it, you will find multiple chests and mythic weapons. Opening one of those chests is known to spawn highly rare sprites such as the Vini Jr one.
This is basically a life hack for Fortnite players. Instead of searching for ultra-rare sprites yourself, you can check for your opponents possibly carrying the same.
First off, as soon as you are in the pre-match lobby, go around and check the backs of each player to see if they have any sprite you may be interested in. In case you do spot one, memorize the outfit of that player and wait for him to jump off during the Battle Bus sequence. Next, chase down and eliminate him to obtain the desired sprite.
Throughout Chapter 7 Season 3, the Fortnite community has seen indexing emerge as a great way to fill their sprite collection. For this, you just need to find a player who already owns a sprite you want and then borrow and extract the same during a match, before returning it to the original owner. You can look for those willing to let you index the sprite in the “sprite-runners-network” channel within the game’s official Discord server.
Thanks to the recently concluded FIFA World Cup, we have seen a bunch of different soccer-related collabs in Fortnite over the past month. From the Lionel Messi skin to the Vini Jr cosmetics, several different players have been the focal point of these content drops.
However, the Striker Sprite and the Vini Jr Sprite have arguably been the most impactful additions, as their role is not merely cosmetic but also affects the gameplay significantly. I, for one, have certainly been enjoying my time in Fortnite with these soccer-inspired sprites and can’t wait to continue using them in future matches.
