Crash Bandicoot Sprite has recently landed in Fortnite, joining six other sprites in the game that are also heavily inspired by fan-favorite video game characters. The Crash Bandicoot IP has emerged as a key collaborator of Fortnite during the ongoing Chapter 7 Season 4 titled Override, which has a strong focus on video game franchises. First introduced in inaugural Crash Bandicoot game for the original PlayStation, the spin attack or whirlwind attack is one of the most popular moves of the titular hero. Thanks to the Crash Bandicoot Sprite, you can finally execute the same against opponents in Fortnite.

This sprite is a Legendary-tier item and can be equipped to do a whirlwind attack when you press the jump button again while in mid-air. Doing so inflicts damage on nearby enemies and also pushes them back, creating some breathing room for the player. This move could prove particularly useful when you are surrounded or overwhelmed in a close-range fight.

As you level up the Crash Bandicoot Sprite, by performing actions such as eliminating enemies and opening chests, the whirlwind attack’s damage effect increases, whereas the cooldown time before you can use this attack again decreases.

How to get Crash Bandicoot Sprite in Fortnite

Given that the Crash Bandicoot Sprite belongs to the Legendary tier, it won’t be easy to find him in your in-game surroundings during a Battle Royale match. However, there are still some ways that you can go down in order to maximize your chances of securing the desired sprite.

1. Use Legendary Cheat Codes

The most reliable way of getting a Crash Bandicoot Sprite is through the use of a Legendary Cheat Code if you can find one. These look like any other cheat codes but sport a distinct golden color. Even if you can’t find one of this particular tier, you can also try the Epic Cheat Codes, marked in purple, as those also have a small but existent chance of giving sprites of a higher tier.

Instead of manually keeping an eye out for such Cheat Codes, you can use the gizmo known as Cheat Code Locator to mark nearby cheat codes on the map. 2. Open Rare Chests

Chests are still a traditional way of finding new sprites and loot in the game. While standard sprites may have extremely low chances of spawning high-tier sprites, the blue-colored ones aka Rare Chests have a good likelihood of containing sprites like the Crash Bandicoot Sprite.

Since Rare Chests themselves are not ubiquitous in the Fortnite Battle Royale map, it helps to know where to look for them in advance. So, for that matter, the map locations with the most Rare Chests are the islands in the shape of Pac-Man, Blinky, and Pink, along with places such as The Battlewoods and Stone Sanctum.

3. Borrow it from a friend

Another straightforward way of getting the Crash Bandicoot Sprite is from someone who already has it and is willing to share. You can find such resourceful Fortnite players on the game’s official Discord server.

For this method, you and the player sharing his sprite need to join two matches together. In the first one, the latter would drop the desired sprite for you to pick it up and extract. Once you do that, the game will register that particular sprite into your collection. Then, in the second match, you have to do the same and return the item to its original owner. Afterwards, you can recall the sprite using Sprite Dust from the Sprites section in the Override tab.
