This fan-made iPhone Ultra teaser looks almost like an Apple launch video

Designer Gunho Lee has released a 65-second fan-made concept video imagining how Apple could introduce its rumored foldable iPhone. It is not an Apple ad, a leak, or an official product preview. The design, specs, and even the iPhone Ultra name remain unconfirmed.

It turns foldable rumors into something you can picture using

The clip follows an actor through a normal day. He pulls a short, wide iPhone from his pocket, opens it like a book, unlocks it with Touch ID, watches a movie, runs two apps side by side, and takes a call. An exploded product shot then shows the hinge, two battery cells, and an A20 Pro chip.

Those choices line up with months of rumors, including the passport-like proportions seen in an earlier iPhone Ultra dummy unit and reports that Apple’s foldable could use Touch ID in the side button. Lee packages those ideas with Apple’s familiar slow camera moves and carefully lit product close-ups.

The best part is how quickly the odd shape starts to look normal. Seeing the device come out of a pocket and open into a wider screen explains the appeal better than another CAD image. The outer display never gets a clear hero shot, even though the hinge and inner hardware receive plenty of attention.

Apple has an event, but no foldable announcement yet

Apple has scheduled a special event for September 9 at 10 a.m. PT. The company has not said which products it will announce, so the foldable iPhone and its rumored iPhone Ultra name are still unofficial.

Even if Apple shows the device, it may not go on sale with the iPhone 18 Pro models. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects an iPhone X-style launch, with the announcement followed by a later pre-order window because of limited early production.

That leaves less than two weeks to see whether Apple’s real presentation looks anything like Lee’s version. Until then, every feature in this polished teaser is still an artist’s interpretation of the rumors.
