How to get Vampire Sprite in Fortnite

Vampire Sprite is among the four different sprites introduced in Fortnite with the arrival of the Fortnitemares update. Among the current batch, it is one of the two Halloween-themed sprites, besides Spooky Dash Sprite. The other two new sprites include Deer Sprite and Dumpster Dive Sprite, the latter of which can even help you unlock Jimothy the Raccoon sidekick in Fortnite.

When it comes to variants, the Vampire Sprite is currently available in five different flavours, namely base, gold, cheat master, loot hacker, and bounty hunter. To get your hands on any one of these variants, you can follow the different methods mentioned below, ranging from using in-game items to befriending other players who already have this sprite.

Ways to get Vampire Sprite in Fortnite

1. Smash Halloween pumpkin chests

Pumpkin Chests are something new that Fortnite introduced in its October 1 update, which coincided with the kickoff of the month-long Fortnitemares event. This particular type of chest needs to be smashed to open and always gives a sprite to the player. The sprites this chest offers are mostly one of the aforementioned Halloween-inspired ones, making this item a solid way to hunt for a Vampire Sprite.

There are certain locations where these Pumpkin Chests usually spawn. However, it isn’t guaranteed that they will spawn in those locations in every match, as the appearance is more random than consistent. Some of the spots on the Fortnite map where you can find these chests are Freaky Fields, Nightmare Neighbourhood (especially Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria), Green Hills Zone, Lifty Lodge, and Stone Sanctum.

2. Go for the pink or golden cheat codes

Because it’s a Legendary-tier item, you are most likely to get a Vampire Sprite from golden cheat codes, aka Legendary Cheat Codes. But these are extremely rare and don’t spawn all that often. In that case, your next best bet is using as many pink cheat codes, aka Epic Cheat Codes, as you can. While they are geared towards offering Epic-tier sprites, they also have a small chance of offering a higher-tier sprite.

As a matter of fact, it becomes imperative for the player to scour the places with the most cheat codes on the Fortnite island. These key locations include Cluster Coast, Green Hill Zone, Heatwave Harbour, Reality’s Reign, and Shaken Sanctuary, all of which have a variety of different cheat codes.

3. Look for the blue chests

Rare Chests, which appear blue in colour, used to be the most common way of obtaining sprites in the previous season. But in Chapter 7 Season 4, these chests have become a secondary way of expanding your sprite collection. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t work at all; they still do.

To boost your chances of getting a Vampire Sprite, it’s still reasonable to open every blue chest that you come across on the map. Some of the most highly rated POIs for finding these special chests are Nightmare Neighbourhood, Stone Sanctum, and the three Pac-Man islands.

4. Ask a Vampire Sprite owner to help

If nothing else is working at the pace that you want it to, the recommended way is to find someone who already has a Vampire Sprite to share the same with you. You can find such like-minded players on Fortnite’s official Discord server.

Once you do connect with someone willing, you and him will have to enter two Fortnite Battle Royale matches together. In the first match, the other player should drop his sprite for you to pick and extract. In the successive match, do the same thing, but vice versa.

Afterwards, you can visit the Override tab and then the Sprites tab, from where you can recall the desired sprite using Sprite Dust. If you are falling short of this in-game commodity, you can use a corresponding Fortnite lobby hack to get some for free.

What Vampire Sprite does in Fortnite

When equipped, the Vampire Sprite boosts your health whenever you are dealing damage to an opponent. Since Vampire Sprite is a Legendary-rarity item, it won’t be as commonplace as, say, the Morgana Sprite in Fortnite. However, given the Halloween theme of the ongoing event, there is a bigger chance of coming across such spook-oriented items. So, all in all, the Vampire Sprite should be relatively more obtainable than other Legendary Sprites in Fortnite.
