Whether for watching videos, working, attending classes, or video chatting, you can easily mirror iPhone screen to Android TV for a way better experience. With our TVs becoming smarter, we don’t need an HDMI adapter anymore; we can achieve the feat wirelessly.
iPhones make our lives convenient — you can stream, play games with friends, have a video chat, and attend lectures right from your screen. The best part is you can easily mirror your iPhone screen to an Android TV or any other compatible smart TV for a larger, grander experience. Here are all the ways to do so.
This Apple feature lets you stream or share content from your devices to your Mac, Apple TV, or any AirPlay-compatible smart TV. If you aren’t sure if your TV supports AirPlay, here’s a list of AirPlay2-compatible TVs.
Now, to start mirroring, do the following:
To stop screen mirroring from your iPhone to TV, just tap Stop Mirroring at the top of your screen or head to Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, and tap Stop Mirroring.
If your TV doesn’t support AirPlay, connecting wirelessly won’t be possible. Don’t worry; your next bet is connecting your device to the TV using an HDMI cable.
The only downside is that you’re physically limited with cables, so you won’t be able to take your iPhone with you. But if getting parted from your device isn’t an issue, this option is excellent. For better results, look for a high-speed HDMI cable.
Then do the following:
While newer TV models have a “works with Apple AirPlay” label, other Android TVs don’t. However, Chromecast-supported apps like Netflix and Google apps let you easily cast your iPhone screen to your Android TV regardless if your TV is AirPlay compatible. Just open the supported app and tap the Cast button, usually at the top or bottom right corner.
If you still can’t mirror your iPhone screen to your Android TV, you may want to try using third-party apps. Apps like AirDroid Cast Web or AirPlayMirror can help Apple users easily mirror their Apple device’s screens on Android TVs.
Regardless of the app, you still need to follow the same process. Download the app and ensure your iPhone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Ensure they’re close to the router to have the best viewing experience.
Aside from screencasting, you can stream videos from your iPhone to a TV. The process is similar and involves the following:
To stop streaming, select AirPlay in the app and tap your iPhone from the list that will appear.
If you frequently stream on your TV with your iPhone, there’s a tendency for it to stream a video from your iPhone automatically.
If you notice the AirPlay icon on the upper-left corner when you open your video app, the AirPlay device is selected and will stream the video on your TV once you hit play.
To use AirPlay on a different device, tap the AirPlay icon, then select another device. Alternatively, tap it to stop streaming via AirPlay.
Wrapping up…
