How to Remix a Reel on Instagram

If the original Reel has remixing enabled, you can easily create your version—whether you’re using an iPhone or Android. Here’s how:

3. Tap the three-dot (More Options) button in the bottom right corner of the Reel.

You can also remix regular posts (if remixing is enabled for them):

How to Enable or Disable Remixing for Your Instagram Content

Disable Remixing for a Specific Reel or Post:

2. Open any Reel or post.
3. Tap the three-dot button, then select the Turn Off Reuse.
4. Tap Turn off to confirm.

These steps will disable remixing for the specific Reel but not for new or other existing Reels and posts.

To turn off remixing across the board on all your Reels and posts, follow these steps:

1. Head to your Instagram profile and tap the Hamburger icon at the top right corner.
2. Scroll down to the “How others can interact with you” section and select the “Sharing and reuse” option under it.
3. Here, toggle off Reels and Posts under the “Allow other people to create with and reuse your content” section.
   
   

Once disabled, no one can remix any of your content going forward.
